Webinar: JCQ Access Arrangements 2021/22 Update- with Nick Lait
September 23, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pmFree
Are you a SENCo, Access Arrangements Assessor or an Exams Officer? Do you want to learn about the new 2021/2022 JCQ access arrangements rules and updates. Join Education Elephant and Mr. Nick Lait, head of the JCQ Examination Centre, for this hour long webinar which will help refresh and update your skills in the area. Alongside a presentation on the changes to new access arrangements regulations, there will also be time for a Q and A session at the end where you can get answers and advice to questions you may have.
Considering the important changes to the regulations and the crazy year that everyone has had in school, we have decided to make this event FREE to all teachers and assessors in the UK. I suppose this is our small way of saying thank you for all of your hard work and for keeping our students going through what has been a tough time for many. Thank you ❤️.
Access Arrangements allow candidates/learners with special educational needs, disabilities or temporary injuries to access their exams such as their GCSE and GCE assessments without changing the demands of the assessment. For example, readers, scribes and Braille question papers. In this way Awarding Bodies and schools will comply with the duty of the Equality Act 2010 to make ‘reasonable adjustments’. The rules and regulations around applying for access arrangements change a little every year so it is important that schools and SENCos stay up to date and ensure that they are in compliance. This webinar will meet the needs of your school, ensuring that you are kept up to date and informed about the policies and procedures required for your access arrangement assessment and application processed.
