About Lia Castiglione

Lia Castiglione is an experienced educational consultant, specialist teacher assessor and SASC-authorised training provider, specialising in examination Access Arrangements.

She has worked in education for more than 30 years and has held senior roles with Patoss and Communicate-ed. She is a former Director of the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee and created a qualification course for Access Arrangements assessors.

Lia is the author of Assessing the Need for Access Arrangements in Examinations: A Practical Guide, now in its eighth edition and published in association with JCQ.

Through the Castiglione Consulting Academy, she provides training, consultancy and professional support to assessors, SENCOs, Access Arrangements Coordinators and educational settings across the UK. She also assesses for Access Arrangements in a number of schools and colleges.
