What is SWIFT

SWIFT is a universal digital assessment for students aged 11- 18, created by Education Elephant to make life easier for busy schools. It fits naturally into the school day and gives teachers a clear, rounded view of how each student is learning, without adding to anyone’s workload.

SWIFT looks at five essential areas that shape learning:

  • Silent Reading Fluency
  • Visual Processing Speed
  • Spelling
  • Working Memory
  • Number Fluency

In just a short time, it helps teachers spot who might need support and where that support will make the biggest difference. Instead of drowning in admin or juggling multiple systems, schools get one simple place to assess, score, and understand student progress.

By bringing everything together in one platform, SWIFT gives schools meaningful data that can genuinely guide early intervention, curriculum planning, and resource decisions. It also connects smoothly with school information systems and allows flexible testing, so teachers can use it in a way that actually works for them. And of course, all data handling meets strict protection standards, so schools can feel confident that student information is kept safe.

Standardised Digital Assessments

For teachers, the experience is designed to be as intuitive as possible. Clear dashboards and easy to read reports turn assessment results into practical next steps. Whether it is planning targeted interventions, tracking progress over time, or gathering evidence for access arrangements, everything is in one place. Built in documentation tools help standardise reporting and cut down on time spent writing up notes.

Most importantly, SWIFT gives schools a 360 degree view of every learner. It helps teachers see strengths, spot emerging needs, and understand the whole learner, not just a score. By giving a fuller picture of how students process information, remember, read, spell, and work with numbers, SWIFT helps schools make smarter, more compassionate decisions about support. It means no student slips through the cracks and every child gets the opportunity to thrive.
